BURNLEY 0 EVERTON 0

- BY CHRIS BEESLEY

TIM IROEGBUNAM insists he can continue to keep improving after bouncing back from his Newcastle nightmare and filling Idrissa Gueye's boots in the heart of the Everton team.

The midfielder had a difficult outing against the Toon last month when he was hooked at the interval by manager David Moyes in a 4-1 home defeat. Newcastle's second goal stemmed from his poor touch when trying to clear his lines and he was shrugged off the ball far too easily by Anthony Elanga to set up the third.

However, since then Iroegbunam (above, shooting) has produced a clutch of promising displays and shone in Saturday's goalless draw.

The 22-year-old said: "The Newcastle game was definitely a bad day for me. But obviously, you can have good games, you can have bad games.
