Three weeks clearing Wet Wipe Island

SOME 114 tonnes of rotting rubbish has been cleared from “Wet Wipe Island” on the banks of the River Thames.

Diggers have spent three weeks removing the eyesore, which was the size of two tennis courts and up to a metre deep.
