Arsenal's Gyokeres and Isak of Liverpool are taking time to settle in and they are certainly dividing opinion among fans of their clubs

- BY JOHN CROSS BY PAUL GORST

VIKTOR GYOKERES is dividing opinion like few other Premier League strikers. IN an ideal world for Arne Slot, the fitness programme designed for Alexander Isak upon his Liverpool arrival would not have been so detailed.

And that is just among the Arsenal fanbase.

Gyokeres looks like a striker who desperately needs a goal. It is now six games — or 488 minutes on the pitch - since he last hit the target.

If you listen to a lot of supporters on social media - always a dangerous business - they are questioning him already.

Gyokeres has played 10 games and scored three goals.

The £64million price tag and expectation of being the centre -forward who solves all of Arsenal's problems looks to be weighing heavily on his shoulders.

But the match-going fan has a very different view.

There is a bunch of fans who sit near the press box at the Emirates. It's a genuine pleasure to sit near them when I go to cover games. And they really like Gyokeres.

Why? Because he leads the line, makes space for others, holds the ball up and runs down defenders. He is an out-and-out striker.
