Stacey: It's a struggle being a strong woman

STACEY Solomon admits it can be a struggle as a strong woman in the entertainment business - but it makes it easier when people underestimate her.

The TV star and businesswoman has amassed a multi-million pound fortune and is admired by fans for her down-to-earth attitude.

And she says defying expectations is one of the secrets of her success.

Stacey said: "I come from Dagenham and I've got the accent. I didn't have a private education.

"I'm blonde. I'm of a happy disposition most of the time. Those characteristics label me as stupid.

"It used to make me angry, but now I use it to my advantage. If I'm underestimated, I can only impress people. The truth is that most of the time I'm just winging it and faking it till I make it."

According to reports in April, Stacey had £9.7million in her business accounts thanks to TV series, brand endorsements and investments.
