Mac wants to stun USA with an away win that will turn Europe into legends
RORY MCILROY has challenged his European teammates to become legends by securing a historic away Ryder Cup triumph.
But the visitors will have to beat a US team fired up by talisman Bryson DeChambeau who aims to take down the Masters champion this week.
Eight of the last nine showdowns have been won by the home side - with McIlroy and Justin Rose the only survivors from the Miracle in Medinah.
After claiming the trophy back in Rome in 2023, the Ulsterman said winning an away Ryder Cup is one of the biggest accomplishments in golf right now," and added:
"That's what we're going to do at Bethpage."
