HAMZAH GOING FOR MIDDLEWEIGHT WORLD CROWN
MAYBE it is the fact he is an Arsenal fan but the day Sheeraz realised he had to reconnect with boxing was when he was working in Eden Hazard's apartment.
It was the moment that shocked the apprentice electrician into returning to the sport he loves.
This weekend will be the moment it all sparks for Sheeraz when he looks to win the WBC middleweight title against Carlos Adames in Riyadh.
The Ilford-based boxer was a teenager learning his trade as an apprentice in 2017 after he gave boxing a break when he knew he wasn't going to get picked for England's Commonwealth Games squad a year later.
"I was working in an apartment of a Chelsea footballer one day, it was Eden Hazard's place and I was there fixing his sockets and lights and I was thinking 'Why am I doing this, man?"," said Sheeraz, 25.
