TV star Rylan Clark has rowed back on the rant he gave about migration on Wednesday's This Morning after an angry backlash.

The show's stand-in co-host said the country was built on immigration and praised medics from overseas who treated his mum.

But he said there was “something wrong” with the way small boat arrivals are being treated. After his comments provoked a fierce reaction on social media, Rylan, 36, said: “You can be pro-immigration and against illegal routes. You can support trans people and have the utmost respect for women. You can be heterosexual and still support gay rights. This list continues.”
