PAUL SCHOLES has accused Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim of being too honest for his own good.

Amorim gave an emotional and blunt interview in the wake of his side’s shock EFL Cup exit to League Two Grimsby last week.

Amorim said his players “spoke really loudly about what they want” with their woeful display, which United legend Scholes believes was a mistake to say.

“I quite like Amorim,” said Scholes. “He's very honest and can be too honest.

“He's saying what every manager probably thinks at some point, but I don’t think you say that out loud.
