THE King and Queen revel in royal pageantry as they parade in the velvet cloaks, chains and plumed hats of the Order of the Garter yesterday.
Their Majesties processed through the grounds of Windsor Castle for the annual service commemorating the country's oldest and most senior order of chivalry, after investing new members.
Composer Baron Lloyd-Webber was earlier made a Knight Companion at a private investiture in the castle's Garter Throne Room.The Duchess of Gloucester was made a Royal Lady of the Garter.
