Marcella of Shakespears Sister fame says she joined Masked Singer to look at moving to UK

SHAKESPEARS Sister singer Marcella Detroit says she jumped at the chance of being in The Masked Singer because she and her husband want to move to the UK.

The American, 73, is married to British guitarist Lance Aston - whose brother is Bucks Fizz singer Jay - and they have lived in the US for decades.

But Marcella, who enjoyed a huge hit with Stay, has plans to join other US celebrities, including Ellen de Generes, Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé, by quitting Donald Trump's America for here.

After becoming the fourth celebrity of the series to be unmasked on Saturday night, she admitted she was "very sad to go".

But the star, who was hiding in the Gargoyle costume, added that the ITV show had given her and Lance the chance to look into whether they might move to the UK.
