Court hears 'pure violence' of thug was egged on by pal, 12

- BY MARTIN FRICKER

A SCHOOLBOY racially abused a grandad before beating him to death, a court heard yesterday.

Bhim Kohli, 80, was forced to his knees and slapped around the head with a shoe by his 14-year-old killer, jurors were told. The teen's kicks and punches during last September's attack then caused a fatal neck injury, it is claimed.

A girl of 12 who was with the teenager laughed as she filmed part of the attack on her phone, prosecutors said.

The boy, now 15, denies murder and the girl, now 13, denies manslaughter.

Retired factory owner Bhim lived with his family close to the scene of the attack in Braunstone Town, Leicester, and it was his son and daughter who found him there, lying in agony.
