It's the pits as Lewis finishes pointless after puncture & two penalties
LEWIS HAMILTON admitted his Qatar Grand Prix could only have been worse if he'd failed to finish.
He failed to score a point, crossing the line 12th after his race was ruined by a puncture and two penalties.
Both were his mistakes, jumping the start before speeding in the pit lane two incidents which sandwiched his tyre bursting when he ran over a pile of debris.
His evening in Losail was so terrible that, in commentary, Jenson Button was worried his old McLaren team-mate might not turn up in Abu Dhabi for his Mercedes farewell.
But Hamilton confirmed he will be there and said: "I don't think we will end on a high... it will just end.
"What's important is that we turn up and give it our best shot.
