Sister recalls knifed teen's final moments

- BY JEN PHARO

After his 17-year-old son Charlie was fatally stabbed, Martin Cosser made two promises - that he would get justice and dedicate the rest of his life to preventing knife crime.

Charlie was murdered by 16-year-old Yura Varybrus at an end-of-term party in a farmhouse in 2023.

His father Martin broadcast his grief on TikTok and now the story is being told in the second series of ITV1's TikTok: Murder Gone Viral.

In heartbreaking scenes, Charlie's younger sister Eloise recalls how police came to the family home in the night and said they were taking them to hospital.

"I didn't have time to put my shoes on," she says. "I just ran out in the darkness into the police car."

One of the three stab wounds had damaged Charlie's aorta and he had a cardiac arrest in the ambulance.

However, medics operated and managed to stabilise him before his family gathered at his bedside.

Tragically, Charlie had suffered irreversible brain damage and died two-and-a-half days later when the family agreed to turn off his life support.

Eloise describes watching the life drain out of her beloved big brother, who was nicknamed Cheeks, as his heart stopped beating.
