President selfishly tramples on grief

RAMBLING Trump's narcissistic speech

DONALD Trump told tens of thousands of people as he addressed conservative activist Charlie Kirk's memorial service: "I hate my opponents.

The US president, 79, was the headline speaker at the service, also attended by senior White House officials and billionaire Elon Musk, who sat beside Mr Trump.

It came after Kirk's wife Erika, 36, delivered a tearful eulogy, saying she had forgiven her husband's killer.

When Mr Trump followed her on the stage, he said that he "disagreed" with Kirk's forgiving nature. "He did not hate his opponents. He wanted the best for them," Mr Trump said.
