England legends Hussain and Atherton fume as no reserve day for second semi means India will progress to final if game washed out

- MIKE WALTERS

POUR FORM

ENGLAND will have to dodge Guyana's stormy weather and pick their way through the International Cricket Council's lopsided playbook to reach another Twenty20 World Cup final.

As Jos Buttler's men scrambled to reach Georgetown, on the South American mainland, for their showdown with India tomorrow, former captains Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain slammed the short straws awaiting them in Guyana.

For a start, heavy showers are forecast for the Providence Stadium, on the bank of the Demerera River.

If the game is washed out, India will progress to the final as winners of their Super 8 group. Remarkably, while there is a reserve day for the other semi-final between South Africa and Afghanistan in Trinidad, there is none for England's match although play can be extended by up to 250 minutes if necessary.
