Yoga mats join pulled pork, mango and VR headsets in 'basket' to track price rises
A LIST of items used to measure the cost of living has been updated to include yoga mats, pulled pork and virtual reality headsets.
The Office for National Statistics has a "basket" of 752 goods and services which represents the things households typically spend their money on. It uses that to measure the rate of inflation, meaning how quickly prices are rising, for UK households.
The basket is changed every year when some items are removed and others are added to get a more accurate picture of the nation's spending habits.
