Sunday's trip to Forest could be make or break for under-fire Irons boss

- BY JOHN CROSS Chief Football Writer @johncrossmirror

GRAHAM POTTER is under mounting pressure at West Ham United.

And now he faces a crunch game at Nottingham Forest on Sunday - the last match before the international break - with his future under the spotlight.

The Irons’ 3-2 Carabao Cup defeat at Wolves on Tuesday night compounded a disastrous start to the season, with the club bottom of the Premier League.

The West Ham hierarchy have offered a public show of support - with vice-chair Karren Brady even going on national radio to insist they will not panic - and they want to give him every chance to succeed.

The club have always taken the view of trying to support managers rather than make a knee-jerk reaction, but Potter has struggled to gain any sort of momentum since taking charge in January.

He has overseen 22 games across all competitions, which has resulted in just five wins. They have lost 12 in total.
