£1m scratchcard winner hid it in saucepan for safekeeping

A DAD is finally able to give his kids a bedroom each after win- ning £1million on a scratchcard.

Craig Haggie, 36, was so desperate to keep the winning ticket safe that he kept it in a saucepan until cashing it in.

He bought the ticket on a whim while waiting for a takeaway burger. But he only knew his life was changing when he checked the card back in the office of WCL Storage Systems, the family-owned firm he runs with brother Nick.

The dad of four said of the scene: "It was absolute pandemonium.
