PM stance over Ukraine is right

Keir Starmer has demonstrated his strength as a formidable leader in standing resolutely by President Zelensky and not allowing himself to be intimidated by Trump.

The Prime Minister is treading a tightrope in trying not to antagonise or alienate the US President.

But European leaders are holding their breath as to what Trump might do or say next.

Thankfully, amid the uncertainty, it seems we have Starmer keeping a cool head.

Jenny Pain, Chatham, Kent

Just who are the 'coalition of the willing'? Our Prime Minister has pledged more money to Ukraine - yet at this juncture, few of his new gang seem to have the impetus to contribute similarly.

We cannot give heating allowances to pensioners, houses to our homeless, or build prisons to confine our criminals, etc, yet easily find finance for overseas conflicts. Moreover, record numbers of illegal boat crossings are adding to the spiralling costs for taxpayers.

There are numerous EU states not contributing their share to a war on their doorsteps. Starmer should change the title to 'coalition of obligation'.
