Guardiola wants misfiring Haaland to sniff out the goals

PEP GUARDIOLA has told Erling Haaland and his Manchester City pals to use their “guts and nose” to be more clinical in the box.

Haaland, who has scored just four goals in 16 games in 2026, has looked tired and isolated at times and was quiet against Real Madrid in midweek before being replaced in the closing stages of a 3-0 defeat.

“Of course he needs goals, the team needs it and he needs it. We have to find him more,” said Guardiola.

The City boss says he knows Haaland is the best striker in the world, but he still wants him and his teammates to sniff out more goals. “They have to move better,” he said.
