MARLIE PACKER revealed England have moved quickly to fill the hole left by skipper Zoe Aldcroft's knee injury that could sideline her for the World Cup pool stages.

Aldcroft played 62 minutes of Friday's opening 69-7 win over the USA but has been ruled out of tomorrow's clash with Samoa and almost certainly the game with Australia a week later.

World Cup-winning centre Emily Scarratt, who came off the bench against the Americans is also out of this weekend's game in Northampton with a shoulder injury.

And fly-half Holly Aitchison is still missing with her ankle problem.
