Norovirus cases rise 61% as flu eases off

Winter vomiting bug is rising
NOROVIRUS is on the rise, with a steep surge in admissions to hospital.
There has been a 61% increase in cases of winter vomiting bug in the past fortnight, the UK Health Security Agency said.
It identified a “significant rise” in infections in pensioners and a number of outbreaks in hospitals.
