NIGEL Farage?

- DARREN LEWIS

Still being nailed over claims he was a racist and antisemitic bully as a teenager? No!!!!The only surprise is anyone is surprised. And if the subject wasn't so serious, the utter collapse of his arrogance and his bombast three weeks ago — all croaky throat and expression on his face screaming: “the game's up” — would have been hilarious.

Ever the unflushable, he tried to bounce back last week, convinced the news agenda had simply moved on.

Instead, it stepped up a gear. Yet another ex-schoolmate, Yinka Bankole, told of his nightmare dealing with Farage's alleged bile towards him.

“I'll never forget the look of hatred he had for me,” Yinka wrote, “seemingly simply for existing. Without knowing my name but just looking at me with what appeared to be no appreciation of my humanity and simply because of how I looked.”

A few million nonwhite people across this country know exactly how you feel, Yinka.

Farage and his acolytes have tried to dismiss the allegations, claiming it all happened 40-50 years ago and that, to coin a phrase, “recollections may vary”.

But ask anyone who has ever been bullied, either at school or work, about their experience. You NEVER forget what was said or done to you.
