A NEW daily pill that can help people shift up to a tenth of their mass could make weight-loss programmes become more affordable.

Orforglipron is a drug that helps lower blood sugar levels, slows the digestion of food and can reduce appetite.

Taken once a day, it is a much cheaper alternative to expensive “skinny jabs”, such as Mounjaro.
