Andy survives after stunning fightback in men's doubles

- JEREMY ARMSTRONG

Murray is doublemint

TENNIS hero Andy Murray marched on at the Olympics last night after a sensational fightback in the men's doubles.

The Scot, 37, showcased his famous fighting spirit when all seemed lost in what could have been the final match of his career.

Instead, he and Dan Evans somehow clawed their way back.

They saved five match points in a "super tie break" against Japan's Kei Nishikori and Taro Daniel to win 2-6 7-6 (7-5) 11-9.

Murray shouted: "Let's go!" after holding his serve in the final set.

He then punched the air and celebrated wildly with Evans, 34.

Their victory sparked jubilant scenes among a buoyant, if sparse crowd, at Roland Garros.
