MURDER OF JULIE WARD -Prime suspect was at scene

DRAMATIC new evidence has emerged in the case of a British woman murdered in Kenya in 1988.

A document which could have led to the conviction of Julie Ward's suspected murderer was left locked in a London police safe for nine years and ignored by investigating officers.

Julie's brother Bob claims the Establishment protected her killer to maintain good relations with Kenya.

Prime suspect was Jonathan Moi playboy son of then-Kenyan President Daniel arap Moi - who died of cancer in 2019 without ever being charged.

He always denied being on the Masai Mara game reserve at the time Julie was killed.

But the newly discovered evidence, which police had years before his death, shows he was there. A handwritten statement from a camp official placed him close to the murder scene.

Julie's father John spent millions seeking justice for his daughter before he died. Bob, who is carrying on his work, invited me to his garden shed to share the latest developments.

Surrounded by tens of thousands of documents and hundreds of boxes of files, he said: "It's a conspiracy. There's been a cover-up right from the start.
