Duchess reaches out amid rift
THE Duchess of Sussex has sent a letter to her estranged father Thomas Markle in hospital.
Mr Markle, 81, had his left leg amputated in a three-hour “life or death” operation last week after falling ill at his home in the Philippines.
He has said he does not want to die distanced from his daughter, 44, and wishes to meet her children and husband Prince Harry, 41.
Meghan's spokesman said: “With the support of reliable and trusted contacts, her correspondence is now safely in his hands.”
