Man receives 25-year term for Rushdie knife horror

THE man who stabbed Sir Salman Rushdie and blinded him in one eye has been jailed for 25 years.
Hadi Matar was found guilty of attempted murder and assault in February.
He knifed Sir Salman, 77, more than a dozen times on a New York State lecture stage in 2022.
