Hey, Macarena! Lewis says he can wing way to the crown
LEWIS HAMILTON hopes to dance into title contention this year with the help of Ferrari's new ‘Macarena’ rear wing.
The seven-time champ thinks Ferrari can push Mercedes hard this season after an encouraging start to the new Formula One campaign in Melbourne last Sunday.
And the Scuderia have wasted no time developing the SF-26, with upgrades ready for round two in Shanghai this weekend.
Hamilton confirmed Ferrari have brought the spec of rear wing to China. The aerodynamic trick turned heads in preseason testing when it flipped upside down at high speeds.
Dubbed the ‘Macarena’ wing after the '90s dance craze, it could help Ferrari match Mercedes’ fearsome engines down the Shanghai International Circuit's long 1.2km back straight.
