THE JOCKEY of Hillsin claimed he deliberately stopped the horse from winning following ‘a threat’ from the father-in-law of Premier League footballer Ashley Barnes, a BHA inquiry heard yesterday.
Dylan Kitts told investigators he had received “what he contended to be a threat that he should do so by a gentleman called John Higgins” before finishing third at Worcester in July 2023, BHA barrister Louis Weston told the disciplinary hearing.
