Kind Labrador Rafa helps kids to read

A floppy-eared, waggy-tailed friend has been helping youngsters learn to read at a local library.

Rafa, an eight year-old black labrador, has been working at Okehampton Library in Devon for three years where children can book sessions to read with her every Tuesday evening.

Staff set up the scheme with the aim of encouraging children to gain confidence with their reading and to improve literacy skills.
