BEREAVED families are calling on the government to close down a twisted online suicide forum.

The site has been linked to the sale of a poison, which is believed to have caused at least 133 deaths in the UK.

The Mirror is not naming the forum or substance. Victims tended to be in their early 20s, with the youngest 13.

Families are urging the PM to hold a public inquiry into why more has not been done to tackle the site, which exists in a dark recess of the internet.

In a letter to Keir Starmer, they say: “We write as families whose loved ones were let down by a State that was too slow to respond to the threats, which despite multiple warnings has failed to act to save lives and prevent harm.”
