JUST when you thought being an England fan couldn't get any more excruciating...
It started so promisingly when skipper Harry Kane put his side 1-0 up, sparking joyous scenes in the stands at Frankfurt and the pubs and fan zones back home.
But any thoughts of an easy ride through to the knockout stages lasted a mere 16 minutes.
Heads in hands, arms thrown in the air in disbelief, England had blown the chance to win the group with a game to spare.
