ITV show fulfils mother's final wish to find lost son

WHEN Kathleen Lacey was dying of cancer, she had one last wish she wanted to be fulfilled.

Kathleen had fallen pregnant when she was an unwed 20-year-old - and now she tasked daughter Jayne Hadlow with tracking down her long-lost brother.

Jayne recalls her mum saying: "When I'm gone can you please find him for me?

"Can you please tell him what happened and tell him that I loved him and that I didn’t want to let him go?

"She held my hand and she said please, please make sure that you do it."

And now, more than 30 years on, Jayne has finally met her sibling.

Jayne, 60, grew up in Essex with brothers Stephen and Jamie and their mum. And when she was 19 she discovered the real reason why Kathleen was so sad every Bonfire Night.
