Global outrage after six killed in Doha onslaught

- BY CHRIS HUGHES Defence and Security Editor

ISRAEL shattered hopes of a Gaza peace deal after six people died during its aerial blitz against Hamas chiefs in Qatar's capital.

It is believed Benjamin Netanyahu's forces deployed 15 fighter bombers to launch up to 10 bombs.

It is the first time Israel has launched such an operation on Qatar.

Soon after the huge blasts, Qatar issued a furious statement against Israel, branding it a “criminal attack”.

Majed Al Ansari, spokesman for Qatar's Foreign Ministry, said the country “condemns in the strongest terms’ the blitz on residential buildings housing members of the Hamas political bureau.
