Dozens injured in chaos at food hub

- BY CHRIS HUGHES Defence and Secuity Editor

HAMAS leader Mohammed Sinwar has been killed by an Israeli strike in the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said.

Sinwar, the younger brother of slain October 7 mastermind Yahya Sinwar, was killed by an Israeli bombardment in the city of Khan Younis.

He was dubbed "the shadow" by special forces trying to find him, but made a fatal mistake when he met up with other Hamas kingpins.

As the head of Hamas's armed wing, Sinwar had the final word on any agreement to release the hostages, and his death could further complicate ceasefire talks with Israel.
