Hospital probe into Prem star's death

CONCERNS over the hospital care of former Arsenal and Everton footballer Kevin Campbell have been flagged up by a health trust, an inquest has heard.

Mr Campbell, 54, died on June 15, a month after he was admitted to Manchester Royal Infirmary. The provisional cause of death was multi-organ failure due to infective endocarditis.

This rare infection of the inner lining of the heart is most often caused by bacteria entering the blood and travelling to the heart.
