Anthony hails Parker's man-management

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

JAIDON ANTHONY would do anything for Scott Parker because of the unwavering support the Burnley boss has given him since he lost his mum.

Anthony's mum Donna died unexpectedly in January 2024 while he was on loan at Leeds and Parker was mindful of the painful anniversary when it came around.

He spoke to Anthony the day before and told him to take time off if he felt it would be too difficult to come to training.

"He's been unbelievable the whole way through," said the winger.

"For example, the anniversary of losing my mum. I was conscious of it and the day before he spoke to me and asked if I wanted to come in.

"I wanted to be around the group and it was a difficult day because there was a lot of emotion around.
