From baby to blue light for Michelle

THEY say mother knows best, and Michelle Keegan hopes to prove it when she plays a detective in her first new role since having a baby.

The former Coronation Street star is returning to ITV in six-part psychological thriller The Blame.

She plays DI Emma Crane, who is investigating the death of a figure skater.

ITV says: “What starts as a tragic death spirals into a tangled web of lies, institutional cover-ups and moral compromise.”

Michelle, 38, welcomed daughter Palma with her husband of 10 years, ex-Towie star Mark Wright, in March.

She rose to national fame on Corrie in 2008 as Tina McIntyre, winning eight British Soap Awards before Tina was murdered in 2014.
