'Cut length of airport runway & save cash'
Daily Mirror UK
|November 18, 2025
A HOTEL group says its plan to build Heathrow’s third runway would provide enough capacity, avoid motorway disruption and save billions.
Arora Group’ Heathrow West proposal is for a 2,800m runway, instead of 3,500m planned by the airport's owners.
Arora said its scheme would avoid diverting the M25 and work to the M4.
The company said it's runway could handle 99.3% of traffic and mean Heathrow’s can exceed 756,000 flights a year, 16,000 above a plan backed by the Government's Airports Commission in 2015.
