Daily Mirror UK
|May 03, 2025
Next week marks the 80th anniversary of VE day, so if you're planning a picnic in the park or a garden party with friends this weekend, it's the perfect time to celebrate with a spread of quintessentially British treats.
-
Start with coronation chicken pasties - flaky pastry filled with creamy, spiced chicken and mango chutney.
Make these moreish coronation chicken pasties ahead and leave to cool before packing for a picnic. You can also top them with seeds, such as poppy or sesame.
