POLICE have launched a major crime review to assess evidence of a state cover-up over radiation tests on troops.

Officers are probing allegations that the MoD may have hidden a blood testing programme during Cold War nuclear weapon trials. Details of chest X-rays and blood and urine testing have been found on a secret database at the Atomic Weapons Establishment.
