Star also fears he has turned into host Partridge

- BY LAUREN MORRIS

COMEDY star Steve Coogan says he is thinking about finally killing off his most famous character, Alan Partridge.

The actor has also spoken of his horror about increasingly turning into the blundering broadcaster - in one particular way, at least.

Steve, 59, who has played Partridge for more than 30 years, said he turned up on set one day in the exact shirt the character would be wearing. He added: "It wasn't just a similar shirt - it was literally the same shirt, the same manufacturer in the same size.

"I looked at it hanging up and thought, 'I guess it's happened'.
