Grace Dent makes her Celebrity MasterChef hosting debut tonight - alongside the now ousted John Torode who opens the shop with the unfortunate words “we are back!”

Long-serving food critic Grace stepped in after Gregg Wallace was axed, but before John was given the chop. She will also host regular MasterChef next year with Irish chef Anna Haugh

On the show, Grace admits that she’s nervous to be taking over, telling cameras: “I haven't been able to sleep for weeks thinking about this moment here. I am a feared restaurant critic, these celebrities can't know that I'm emotional.”
