Burberry set to slash 1,700 jobs

FIFTH OF STAFF 10 GO AFTER £66m LOSS

FASHION firm Burberry is axing 1,700 jobs - including UK workers - to slash costs after a slump in profits.
Burberry will cut around a fifth of its global workforce over the next two years.
Most will come from head office-based teams around the world, led by the UK.
Changing shift patterns will also result in some retail job losses.
