Businessman arrested in Serbia faces extradition
A BRITISH businessman has been arrested in Serbia, accused of being a secret agent for China.
John Miller, 63, was detained in Belgrade on April 24 following a months-long FBI sting operation.
He is now facing extradition to the US, where he has been charged with conspiracy to smuggle sensitive US military technology to the Chinese government.
He and co-accused Cui Guanghai, a 43-year-old Chinese man also known as Jack, are also accused of taking part in a targeted harassment campaign against a Chinese-American artist critical of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Court documents filed in the Eastern District of Wisconsin and California allege that Miller referred to President Xi as “the boss” in intercepted phone calls.
