Breathe easier with vape ban

IT’S about time this ban was brought in and I congratulate the government for taking decisive action on disposable vapes.

Since they were first introduced, I've seen a huge increase in the numbers of youngsters using them, and buying them with ease.

I hope this ban can be enforced and the threat of fines makes shopkeepers stick to the rules.

Smoking is highly addictive and causes many health problems. I was a smoker for many years before quitting, which was by no means easy. I understand firsthand how addictive it can be.

Manufacturers of vapes knew exactly what they were doing when they produced these brightly coloured, flavoured vapes that were obviously marketed to the younger generation.

We need to make it as difficult as possible for youngsters to take up any kind of smoking.

While I welcome the news of the ban, it won't put youngsters off.

If they think it's cool to vape then they will continue to do so. The law needs to be tougher and they need to ban all vapes.
