Excited skipper Jarrod is “so impressed” with Hammers boss
JARROD BOWEN hailed West Ham's fighting spirit and said he is optimistic about what can be achieved under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Nuno (below) took charge of the Hammers for the first time on Monday night after replacing the sacked Graham Potter over the weekend.
And although his side fell behind when Michael Keane headed the home team ahead, Bowen's third goal of the season 25 minutes from time earned the Hammers a point.
"It's a big point for us," the West Ham captain said. "Our mindset was to come and get the win, as it always is, but that's a good result.
"We had some good opportunities in the first half, and when we were getting balls wide and into the box, that was our best avenue of scoring, but then we conceded a well-taken goal by them.
