BARNES HAS A STORMER WITH TOON
Daily Mirror UK
|January 08, 2026
JUST before the kick-off, Newcastle fans showed their love to Kevin Keegan, who is in hospital after being diagnosed with cancer.
Keegan's name rang out around St James' Park as the game got under way. It was a thrilling match worthy of King Kev as Toon grabbed a dramatic late win.
Brenden Aaronson struck twice for Leeds with Dominic Calvert-Lewin on target again. Harvey Barnes and Joelinton netted for the Toon, with Bruno Guimaraes adding a late penalty before Barnes wrapped it up.
