Moratuwa SC coasted to an easy first innings win over Chilaw Marians in their Under 23 Emerging Club two cricket tournament encounter concluded at De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa.
The win came on the back of two fine knocks made by Isula Naduwara and skipper Sahan Kaushalya who hit 97 and the pair associated in a 150 runs stand for the fifth wicket to help Moratuwa SC resuming from their overnight score of 283 for 5 to make a formidable score of 331. Later Ushan Sathsara who ended with five wickets and supported by Dumindu Sewmina combined to bowl out Chilaw Marians for a score of 208 and the Marians made to follow-on ended the day on 47 for 1. In the other matches that were played Bloomfield along with SSC, Police SC, Army SC and Nugegoda S&WC also registered first inning wins.
